For our client specialized in integrated Optimisation, RTO & Heat Recovery Systems in the Printing, Packaging, Paper, Textile, Carpet, Chemical and Glass Industries we are looking for a Part Time Accounts Assistant.
Responsibilities:
Sales ledger:
Overseeing the ledger information
Setting up new customers
Raising sales orders
Raising invoices and credit notes
input of data ie receipts
Credit control, chasing debtors by phone and letter
Dealing with queries
Sending out monthly statements
Purchase ledger:
Overseeing the ledger
Setting up new suppliers
Input of data ie payements, invoices and credit notes
Dealing with supplier queries
Raising purchase orders
Nominal ledger:
Preparing and entering journals
Bank and petty reconciliations
Balance sheet reconciliations
Vat returns and vat reconciliations
Prepayement and accruals schedules
Salary administration and entering journals
CIS reporting
Currency revaluations for banks, payments, receits
Stock control
Depreciation schedule
Cash flow report
Preparing month end management accounts, including Profit & Loss and Balance sheet within working days of the month end.
Work in Progress calculations.
Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate the following competencies
Complex problem solving skills with a strategic thinking approach
Engage a risk management approach in all aspects of the role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work experience (2+ years) as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures

Strong verbal and written communication skills (Dutch, English and German)
Familiarity with finance regulations
Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
Hands-on experience with MS office , Excel and accounting software (Exact & Sage)

Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
